About Me

My photo
My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.

Winter Skin Part 2

This post has the potential to be a 24 part series if I kept going but I'll try to stick with the basics. It's only fair to note that I don't have the BEST skin. I mean it's ok. I have minimal sun spots and I've never really had an issue with pimples. However in the winter months my skin feels tighter than a stretched out piece of cling wrap. There are a few things I use to relieve the pressure AND keep my skin from ripping a whole in tights, socks, blankets or any other soft fabric. I discovered this product in highschool. My best friend's mom used it and she passed it along to us.
This stuff is AMAZING! I use it on dry cracked heels, dried out hands, elbows, knees. I even use it on minor scrapes and burns. Pimples even. Remember the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding? How her father uses windex on everything and at the end they both get zits right before the big day. His goes away and she has to use make up to cover hers. When she asks him what he did to get rid of it he says, "I used Windex...". That's how I am with bag balm. I put the stuff on everything. Even when I was nursing it seemed to repair the cracked tissue quicker than Lanolin. (Don't worry, the babies never ingested it.) An easy way to use this stuff is to cake it on feet or hands and sleep with socks or gloves on during the night. In the morning you'll have baby soft skin. So soft in fact someone may want to make a baby with you. Don't let that detour your use of the amazing product. Did I mention it's for cows? nevermind that

You can order here if you like. Or go to www.walgreens.com and search "bag balm"
