About Me

My photo
My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.

Give yourself a hug!

My last post was about getting in shape and I listed 6 reasons why I need to do this. This week I've been munching salads, cheated on my salad with a doughnut, repented and had another salad. After weighing in yesterday, naturally, I've gained a couple of pounds. Today I'm going to list positives and I encourage you to do the same! There are a few things that I'm proud of myself for. Not including my infatuation and unhealthy relationship with frozen custard, my weakness for cake doughnuts or that I refuse to wash a pan after using it. However here are things I'm proud of.

1) I ran a half marathon. Albeit was 2 years ago, but I did it and I'm pround and it shall happen again.
2) I had a baby last summer. 'Nuff said
3) I became a professional swaddler during those hectic months at home with Cailyn when it was just the two of us.
4) I can cook and I cook gooood. At least my husband likes it and to me that's all that counts (for now).
5) I am a laundry ninja. It'll happen before you know it.
6) I am 5 feet 11 inches tall and my resting metabolic rate is MUCH higher than my shorter friends and colleagues. This allows me to cheat with that cake doughnut every now and then and I won't know the difference.
