Guest writer! (Sing it in the "Ghost Writer" theme song tune)

A guest post my clever husband didn't know would be featured on the blog today. Enjoy the little article/letter he wrote to somehow commend both our daughter and the "King of Pop" simultaneously.

I started this day by looking at the "Man in the Mirror" for a simple moment. I thought to myself about becoming a Dad in a few short weeks, and what a "Thriller" that adventure will be. For a second, and only a second...I considered naming her "Billie Jean". I can't wait to meet her, look her in the eyes and tell her "I Just Can't Stop Lovin You". l already have so much TLC for this "P.Y.T". We will have so much fun learning her "ABC"s, and given the blood line...I am sure she will be a "Dancin Machine" who loves to "Jam". Nervous, anxious, excited...all of these emotions ran through me, but I guess that's just "Human Nature". I thought about her growing up and how I might handle her if she acts "Bad". Or what it will be like when she starts bringing boys around. It really doesn't matter if they're "Black or White", but if they don't treat her right then I will have to tell them to "Beat It". I laughed when I thought about chaperoning her middle school dance, and busting loose with what the kids will perceive as some "Off the Wall" dance moves (mostly just to embarrass her a little). I imagined what it will be like when she learns how to drive...how it could be "Dangerous" and as much as I might want to "Scream", I will try to stay calm and remind her to simply "Ease On Down the Road". I thought about unruly Dad's from opposing sports teams at her games...and how I might just have to stand up ask if they "Wanna Be Startin Somethin". I know those teenage years will come and I should get ready to hear her yell "Leave Me Alone" a lot. BUT, even through those times she will never have to ask "Will You Be There", because always "I'll Be There". My first child...wow...fatherhood will most assuredly "Rock My World", but in a great way because the "Girl is Mine". I look forward to holidays, like Christmas, when I get to put toys together and secretly leave Santa presents under the tree like a "Smooth Criminal" undetected. Then the day will come when she is all grown up, and I just sit back and "Remember the Time" that we shared. Cailyn Marie...we haven't even met yet, but "The Way You Make Me Feel" is indescribable.
