...what do you think it would say to you? Would it express how it feels neglected through most of the week? Would the laundry talk about how great you make it feel? Would it speak of how it's always a priority or constantly neglected? If my laundry could talk it would tell me how much it appreciates the attention I give it. And it would apologize for being so high maintenance day in and day out. The boy laundry in our house would probably thank me for washing it regardless if it's dirty or not and for not putting it back on the hanger after only having been tried on. The senior citizens of our laundry community would thank me for not cutting them off and putting them to good use in the cleaning closet with the furniture polish. Although I'm pretty sure I put one of them out of "his" misery last weekend. It was time to say goodbye. I should do more but I can't. (Someone insists they are perfectly good undershirts.)
The laundry would probably write a poem to convey the apprecation it has for me for always taking care of it. I suspect it might go something like this:
Ode to our caretaker!
She washes, dries and folds us all
Neatly in organized piles so we won't ever be alone
And will always find our home
She treats our stains
And always picks the perfect temperature so we won't be uncomfortable
The wash is always pleasant and amicable
Thank you for always taking care of us!
Love always,
Your laundry pile

About Me

- My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.
