About Me

My photo
My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.

The Holidays are here!!!

I can't believe it's almost another year down. It seems this year has flown by since Steven proposed, we set a short engagement, planned a wedding, moved into our apartment, celebrated Memorial Day, went to Washington D.C., celebrated more birthdays including Steven's, Labor Day, put away my white pants and summer clothes, Thanksgiving last week and now Christmas is just under 4 weeks away. Whew! That's the rundown. We just had Thanksgiving with my parents, brother and sister-in-law. It was a great time but now my pants are fitting a little tighter. Over the Thanksgiving break I helped my mom with a project that I'd been telling her I would do for a few weeks now. I took on the main bathroom in their house. Turquoise tile and all. I decided she can't fight it any longer and has to just roll with the punches. If you can't beat 'em join 'em. We made a trip to Lowes and bought some nice warm neutral colors to paint the walls and cabinets. After a long night of painting I then woke up early the next morning to get a second coat on and do some touch ups. Afterwards my mom and I went to our local store to see if we could find some accent pieces to liven the room up. While we were there we came across a shelf of Cabbage Patch Kids, each with their own birth certificate and ready to be adopted.
I don't know if it was all the chemicals from the paint or the sleep deprivation but these were absolutely the funniest Cabbage Patch Kids ever. Or atleast their names were.

Meet Sherri Shelley. She loves her pacifier and loves to eat cheese-its. Her birthday is July 3rd.

Next I'd like to introduce you to my personal favorite (but don't tell the others!).
He's a little firecracker! Meet. . .

Garey Bobby

Garey Bobby loves Nascar just like his daddy. (Pronounced deddy.)Give him his juice and set him in front of the television to watch the cars or the Tough Man contest. Either way he's a happy boy!
My favorite thing about Garey Bobby is his hair.

I think the manufacturer decided that the dolls with these names would sell best in the mid-west, more specifically Oklahoma.
I almost forgot the most adorable part of Garey Bobby. HIS TOOTH!

And another one of my favorite names, which I'm going to try to convince Steven to name our first girl.
