Hot Wings and Tinkerings

Welcome to my newly titled blog and 2014! As I sit at the computer eating hotwings and messing with the blog I can't help but reflect on 2013. Yes I realize everyone does this, however I'd like to take a minute and talk about some of the things our family has done (or has yet to do) this past year.

We moved to northern Virginia last Christmas. We currently reside with in-laws. (Mine, not his.) Don't ask. It's going and that's as specific as I'll get.

Steven attended basic training at Ft. Benning, GA and finished on June 26. (My birthday!)

Cailyn turned 3 and William turned 1

I found a home for my faith in the Catholic church. I took St. Rita as my saint and I reflect on her life often as an example of the devotion a woman should have for her family and Christ.

I joined a playgroup at our parish, Sacred Heart

I joined a running group called Moms Run This Town. (It's great!)

I did not run a marathon or even half of one. (2014- you're my year!)

Cailyn started a pre-school program

William still wants to be velcroed to my hip. I heart him.

Cailyn and her cousin Kinley absolutely love make-up and William fell victim to their antics. I'm certain that in 2014 he will be big enough to stop this from happening.
