But in other news Cailyn is trying to make words and so far she has down mama, dada, bye, night-night, thank you and wwwaaaahhhhh. Grammie came to visit a couple of weeks ago and we took Cailyn to a pumpkin patch and she loved it. She even carried her own 3lb pumpkin around.
| A picture she'll thank me for some day. She loves playing in the water even if it's in the kitchen sink! |
She's off the bottle and lays down easily. We thought this transition would be a lot harder than it has been. The next step is the paci and I'm not looking forward to it one bit. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Here she is more than ready for bed.

Congrats again on the baby! With the paci, we did cold turkey. We had tried weaning off slowly, but found if we had one in the house we would end up giving in if she was being fussy or having a hard time getting to sleep. She only used it for sleeping, but the older she got the more she was getting attached to it and was starting to ask for it when it wasn't naptime/bedtime. So we just threw them away. When she asked we just told her she was a big girl, the paci was for babies. She forgot about it after a few days. Good luck. The older they get, the worse it gets:(
