A lady called my office today to ask about something that 1) is a federal issue and 2) is a sore spot with me on a personal level. She called to find out "why come" the unemployment benefits extension didn't include her husband. I told her it was a federal issue and gave her the number to her Congresswoman's office. She then asked where she could report illegal aliens. As I'm searching for a phone number she notifies me that "...there are like 500,000 of 'em in this state...". I wanted to respond "Yes, and do you intend on reporting every single one of them?" I didn't say that. Anyway- she put me in a bad mood. That and the fact that this day is taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R. So I decided to sound off and list things that really bug the "expletive" out of me.
1- People that do not use a blinker. It's not that hard people!
2- When people are too busy yapping on their cell phone to actually pay attention to their driving. This is what causes wrecks. How have we not put 2 and 2 together?
3- This relates to #2 in that people SUCK at merging into traffic in Oklahoma. I don't think it's taught in driver's ed. courses and it should be.
4- Rude people in general but more specifically rude people that cut in line at stores, DMVs, or at stop lights.
5- When you've put something away and for the life of you, you can't remember where you placed it.
6- When people say/write Happy Holidays. It's freaking Christmas!
I hope this helps everyone's Christmas spirit out. Just to show that I'm not a total Grinch here are some things that don't grind my gears.
1- Christmas music
2- My baby girl
3- My husband (for the most part)
4- People who let a woman with a little baby and her hands full, cut in line because they can see she's distressed and the baby is about to have a melt down. Thank you strangers!
5- The smell of our Christmas tree. Steven and I both think it has a secret Glade plug-in somewhere that will randomly blast the smell of Christmas into our living room. As Miley Cyrus would say - It's pretty cool.
6- Baked goods; inparticular Christmas baked goods.
PS- If you'd like to sound off you can do so here. Not many people read this blog anyway. It's a good sounding board. Enjoy letting cyberspace know what really grinds your gears.

100% agree and the crazy people have been crawling out of the woodwork lately. You know I can identify. How have you been anyway?
