Things are definitely getting easier around here but it's all relative. Just last week I was unable to shower for two days, wore a lactation stained t-shirt and had a pony-tail oily enough you could host a fish fry with.
I've since showered on a semi regular basis and manage to fix a meal once every 4 days. My house remains un-dusted, vacuumed, swept, mopped or picked up. On a positive note I can now nurse Cailyn without flexed feet and a clenched jaw for 10 minutes. It's starting to be somewhat -dare I say- enjoyable to feed her. The only thing is I'm having trouble keeping my supply up with the little boogers demand. I took her in for a weight check on Wednesday just to make sure she was gaining weight and she was, but after visiting with the pediatrician she recommended I take an herbal supplement to help increase my milk supply. It's called Fenugreek and it smells like maple syrup. Coincidentally I smell like maple syrup and I think this is driving Cailyn to want to eat more and more which I'm positive is like eating pancakes at this point. She's above her birth weight and we go in for the one month check up on Wednesday the 25th! I can't wait to see the results and I'll be sure to let everyone know how it went as soon as I can manage to have a few minutes.
