About Me

My photo
My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.

2 steps forward 12 steps back

This morning I awoke after sleeping through the majority of the night. These days 2 bathrooms breaks at night time are a God-send. I was also pleasantly surprised that I slept so well seeing as how I went to bed with a horrible stomach ache due to the fact that I ate almost an entire bag of movie theater popcorn by myself. I don't know why I do it to myself. It's just that it taste SO good! All of this was after eating a frozen yogurt covered in candy which came after Sunday brunch at Mama Roja's. In my defense it was the BEST breakfast quesadilla I have EVER had. (Me? Exaggerate? Never.) So anyway, I woke up this morning feeling energized and decided to do some prenatal yoga in the living room. Cailyn loved it, or hated it. I'm not quite sure but she wiggled the whole time. When I arrived at work I took the stairs as usual and even took the stairs down to the basement and back up. It may not sound like much but please consider I'm toting around a few extra pounds these days and quite frankly I'm out of shape. This day will be great! Except for the fact that although I tried to snack on an apple, an evil lady I work with told me there were evil doughnuts in her office. Low and behold there was a doughnut iced with chocolate and covered in sprinkles. (No, I do not count that as my extra 300 calories a day.) Of course I didn't restrain myself, after all I did Yoga and I took the stairs. It wasn't until I looked at the sprinkles strewn across my desk and the napkin with the delicious chocolate icing stains did I realize that I just took 2 steps forward and 12 steps back. This week's weigh in should be fun!
