Boots

Is it strange that rain boots remind me of my mother? For some reason over the past 2-3 years when I see a cute pair of rain boots I want to buy my mother a pair and this I can't explain. Maybe it's the cute designs on each boot or the fact that each pair is so unique, much like my mom. This year just may be the year I actually buy her a pair. I know this is very strange but the polka dots remind me of her perky personality and the psychadelic paisley ones remind me of what she must have been like as a teenager. (She handed down her posters to me from her teenage years and if you could see them, the former statement wouldn't seem so strange.) Then when I see green ones I remember it's her favorite color and she MUST have these. I'll end the post with this- I have no idea whether or not my mom even wants/likes/longs for a pair of rain boots. As she used to say to me on shopping excursions when I was on the fence about an item, "You just have to have this, you need this." Mom, I just feel that you need these boots.
