I just have to say that I have a renewed hope in our GOP. It may be too soon to get my hopes up but please let me bask in the delight for now. McCain has picked a vice presidential candidate and I'm excited. After reading a quick bio of Sarah Palin's track record, I really don't think there could be anyone better unless of course she was running with Mike Huckabee but those are hard feelings I've been harboring for awhile. (What's wrong with our party?!?!) Hopefully she will be a great step back towards the right direction. You know someone is standing up for what they believe in when they're ousting their own political party members.
Sarah Palin is the mother of a soldier, and seems to be a maverick. (A true one, not in the McCain-Feingold sense) She's pro-life and that's exciting and refreshing to see a woman with a true maternal instinct. I won't get into the NRA and the fact that she's a hunter and fishes. (She could be a true Oklahoma woman.) I'm excited to see this pick and hopefully it will energize our base.
Note: She used to run 5k and 10k races. We (will) have so much in common.
