Saturday afternoon Steve, my brand new husband who loads a dishwasher better than I do, and I went to Pawhuska to visit my mom for Mother's Day. It wasn't a long trip but being a special day we drove the 2 hours for one night. We left Sunday afternoon and Steve and I went to his rec league game that I got him involved in. He'll thank me later, he loves me. After the game, which they won, we grabbed some groceries and headed home. I noticed a note on my car underneath the windshield wiper. The note read:
"I don't know if this is the right car but if you were at the Liquor store on May this past Saturday then please call me. -Ken" followed by a phone number. Normal people would throw this away and maybe shrug their shoulders. I want to know who Ken is. And I certainly want to know who he had to meet so bad that he left a random note on a random car that vaguely resembled another car that he thought he might have been parked next to. I like to think that while counting out his change for a pint of Wild Turkey Ken looked over and saw what he thought was the most beautiful woman and he had to meet her. Not so much though that he lost count of his change. So in a rare moment of sobriety he remembered the color (possibly) make (possibly) and model (possibly) of a car that she drove. He went back to counting nickles and bought his Wild Turkey. Only to wake up Sunday afternoon and have a memory. Unfortunately this guy probably lives in our apartment complex and that's how he found my car. Either way- To whoever "Ken" is out there, I hope she found you and you both live happily ever after.
And if it was a hit and run I hope you find the sonofabitch.
A mystery meat of a blog. Welcome to my life: A mish-mash of recipes, food, faith, photography, parenting and our crazy life in general. You never know what you'll get!
About Me
- Brandiosa
- My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.
