About Me

My photo
My husband and I have two children. One of each brand. Cailyn is 3 and William is almost 2. I spend my days cleaning up messes, playing dress-up, prince and princess, and hopefully doing my children a service by teaching them some manners and virtues.

Boomer Sooner!

I'm going to write this as if my non-existent readers don't know. Every year we have what is called the Red River Shoot out. It's a religious experience if you've never been. OU and Texas travel to Dallas, a neutral site, and battle it out on the gridiron. As you probably know OU came out triumphant this year and it was great! My cousin, Steve and myself drove down to Dallas where we stayed with a friend. His roommate, a huge Texas fan, invited his entire entourage over. So we were in a room full of Texas fans. It made the celebrating that much better. Ever year the winner of this match up gets bragging rights for the WHOLE year. It's not just a football game it's a rite of passage. I guess. Anyway, we had a blast. Just to show you how much fun we had I've posted some pictures. Some will need explanation, some will not.

Ok, they'll all need explanation.

This might be a good time to introduce Steve. He's my "boyfriend". I feel so "Jr. Highish" saying that. But he is. He's pretty much in every aspect of my life. He's my council, my counselor and my partner in crime and even he'll admit it. (Note for my family:We have never been arrested or even had an encounter with law enforcement. I just want to make that clear.) But he's my dance partner, my kitchen hand, and my party planner. Some call him Dancin' Steve because that's his thing. He dances and he's pretty good at. ANYWAY- Moving on....

We went out to the West End on Friday night and had a blast. Here's a picture of me and my cousin. She experienced Steve and his crazy friends for the first time this past weekend. Poor girl. I hope she comes back because I had a ton o' fun with her!

She just moved back the city. She's been "away". I'm glad to have her back.

We laughed so much, our faces hurt. It was great. She is so much fun. (The girl in the back with dark hair, I don't know her but she's a Texas fan, and she was a mean one. Boo!)
Either way we had all kinds of fun, dancing, drinking, yelling, and cheering. I can NOT wait for next year. Especially since we won the bragging rights for 365 days!

She took pictures of me like this!

And we took pictures I mean shots like this! (Don't worry mom, it's just a jello shot. They're really weak.)

And for my soon to be loyal readers: Here is your Question of the day-

Would you rather know how to juggle, ride a unicycle, or make baloon animals?

Ride a Unicycle definitely! I know I'm way too uncoordinated to juggle - I don't do hand eye coordination well. I don't have enough hot air for balloons. Actually I want to ride a tandem (is that how you spell it?). You know the 2 person bike! Josh would love it, not really, he hates bikes!
